Wilderness Experience Poems/Wilderness Testimonials
I sure saw a lot when I was in complete darkness
~ I sure heard a lot in the quiet wilderness.
Though I didn't see in front and I didn't see in
back ~ I didn't hear with my ears I just lied on my
back. And closed my eyes and talked to God,
pictured a lot of strange things and what I heard
was odd. I saw in my past, my past I saw plenty,
and God said my feelings about it is something I
must empty. So my loneliness and pain will soon
be done, and I'll be able to see my future and
what is to come.

The world out there is a big one.
There is a lot of struggles and a lot of fun.
I've been living in a bubble, learning how to
stay away from trouble.
I've cried and yelled in fits of rage.
The lessons I've learned I will not forget,
and to this place I am in great debt.
Out into this world I go,
living to love, living to grow.

Snow and trees, beauty galore
It's like turning a page or opening a door
It's something good and something new
The changes to be with this beauty are few
The feelings that come with this splendor
are strong
For it seems that the path of Joy is long
Confusion is hard and so is the pain
Knowing myself is what I will gain

My nose is cold and my feet are numb
People like us sure have fun
Walking in the woods for ten days
Over snow covered glaciers in the mountain haze
My little story is not quite told
Livin' and havin' a good time
Jokin' with each other and feelin' fine
We lived in bubbles made out of snow
Because we had nowhere else to go
Our lives had reached their final end
Until we found WRC and made some friends
